Laura Best practices immigration and refugee law. She regularly appears before various immigration tribunals and the Federal Court. She successfully assists clients with all types of in-Canada and overseas applications for immigration, refugee and citizenship matters.
Ms. Best received her Juris Doctor and Masters in International Relations with Honours from the University of Toronto in 2009. She was then called to the bar in both Ontario and British Columbia. In Toronto, Ms. Best co-founded an organization to support those claiming refugee status on the basis of their sexual orientation. Her undergraduate from the University of British Columbia focused on International Relations. She has lived in France, Israel and Mexico.
